Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program Applications Now Available
Application forms for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program are now available for eligible Pennsylvanians to begin claiming rebates on property taxes or rent paid in 2018. The deadline to apply for a rebate is June 30.

Applicants may obtain Property Tax/Rent Rebate claim forms (PA-1000) and related information on the Department of Revenue’s website or by calling 1-888-222-9190. It is free to apply for a rebate, and free filing help is available at hundreds of locations across the Commonwealth, including at my district office, Department of Revenue district offices, local Area Agencies on Aging, and senior community centers.

Rebates will be distributed beginning July 1, as required by law.

The easiest way to check the status of your rebate claim is to visit the dedicated website that the Department of Revenue maintains — Where’s My PA Property Tax/Rent Rebate? You will need your Social Security number, claim year and date of birth to check the status of your claim.

Veterans in the 84th Legislative District can also contact retired MSGT George W. Heiges, Jr., Director of Veterans Affairs, Lycoming County Office of Veterans Affairs at (570) 320-2101 or (570) 327-2365. In Union County, contact Director J.D. Air bags do save lives. In fact, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that nearly 45,000 lives were saved by frontal air bags between 1987-2015.

Click here for some important facts and tips on air bag safety.

Millions of Takata brand air bags have been recalled in U.S. vehicles. To check your vehicle for a possible recall, visit nhtsa.gov/recalls.

New Tool to Fight Drug Abuse

The Suspicious Activity Report form, administered by the Office of Attorney General, gives an easy way for people to report fraudulent, stolen or altered prescriptions, or a suspicious doctor/pharmacy.

Tips cam be submitted anonymously or with your contact information included for follow up from the Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigations.
