– Rep. Garth Everett (R-Lycoming/Union) and Sen. Gene Yaw (R-Bradford/Lycoming/Sullivan/Susquehanna/Union) are co-hosting their annual Senior Expo on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Community Baptist Church, located at 1853 Route 87 Highway in Montoursville
“I invite all senior residents and their families in Lycoming County in the 84th District to this informative event,” said Everett. “There will be dozens of vendors offering information on services and programs tailored to the senior community.”
An agent from the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General will also be conducting a Senior Crime Prevention Seminar from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Those who would like to attend the seminar are asked to RSVP by calling 570-327-2084. The seminar will provide information on scam phone calls, the Do Not Call list, spoofed caller ID and the new FCC ruling allowing telephone providers to block spam/scam calls.
Some of the other services offered during the Senior Expo include:
• Complimentary document shredding by North Central Sight Services (personal shredding only, no businesses).
• Unused prescription drug MedReturn box at the Lycoming County Sheriff’s Office table.
